Original artwork description:

Introducing GOLDEN AGE, my new, fascinating series of paintings that transcend time and demonstrate the greatness of human evolution in an era marked by transformational changes in industry, technology, art, architecture... The first two paintings, created like a harmonious diptych, represent a narrative merging into a single composition.
The diptych is based on a bustling city canal, depicted in a central perspective, with cargo ships moored to piers on either side. The cityscape along the embankment exudes the architectural charm of the early 20th century - attics, high firewall gables, fireplace chimneys. Cafes, shops and stalls fill the ground floors, creating a vibrant picture of city life.
Two sides of one channel: one is brightly lit, warmed by the sun, the other is in deep shadow. Amazing reflections from the powerful steel hulls of ships, despite the weight of the metal, seem light, dancing on the surface of the water. The background of both canvases is a port in a haze with small, scurrying tugboats, the smoke of which envelops the water area of the port with stunning clouds against the background of the blue sky.
The greatest emotion that contemplation of a diptych evokes is Joy and an incredible feeling of Happiness and fullness of Life!
A large number of details draws in and does not let go of your attention.
The paintings are quite large in size, each 90 cm high and 80 cm wide. In total, the total width of the diptych is 160 cm.
The paintings will take their rightful place in the private interior of a home or commercial office.
Although the narrative of the new GOLDEN AGE series is fictional, its palpable realism invites viewers to immerse themselves in a realm reminiscent of Hayao Miyazaki's enchanting anime. The diptych becomes a portal to a world where past, present and future converge in a celebration of human Ingenuity and Talent, Progress and the enduring Spirit of Joy.

Materials used:

oil on linen, palette knife
