I don't know exactly what the technological process of creating a new dress looks like. Much less do I know what that process looked like a hundred years ago. But I can make it up. And it's up to the viewer to agree with it or not.
It seems to me that the process started from the inside. And then it was layered. Anyway, we're talking about haute couture, not mass production.
No decent person would think of buying clothes in a ready-to-wear store. People didn't understand how you could wear clothes made for everyone.
But now things have changed. There are only a few tailors left.
Everyone is happy to wear the same clothes.
Such are the times. Progress, evolution....
