Modern watercolor painting in the interior “Before the storm. Fethiye city, Turkey” was drawn from life during my cycling plein air tour of Turkey in winter 2021.
During the day, while searching for a motive for the sketch, the weather was good calm. But in the late afternoon, a very heavy rain began, which caught me already while drawing, and I had to look for shelter to finish painting the work. Then a real downpour began with strong thunderstorms and lightning. And when I was already returning home from the open air, a very large hail fell, but as a strong artist I did not stop pedaling while driving through the whole city, although I was soaked to the skin, I was pleased because I drew a good sketch.
The painting was working by professional Italian Maimeri Blu watercolors on 100% cotton paper with a density of 300 grams, which will give the picture durability.
