In this piece, I set out to capture a fleeting silence — that delicate pause before a summer storm unfurls over the Carpathian Mountains. The sky, dense with shifting light and brooding clouds, stretches above soft, blue-tinged ridges, while the emerald meadows below still glow with the warmth of the fading sun.
I worked with the impasto technique, shaping the scene with my fingers to give the surface a tactile intensity — a pulse of emotion and movement that echoes the spirit of the landscape itself. At the heart of it all rests a lone cottage, quietly nestled among the hills — a quiet witness to the grandeur and timeless rhythm of nature.
