Bumble bee on cow parsley
I consider myself immensely lucky to be living near a nature reserve, more so recently during the recent lockdowns. I found more time to observe nature and it also seemed wildlife came out to play more due to the absence of usual human activity.
For this artwork the bumble bees and foliage were sketched loosely with a promarker and a wash was applied with watercolour paints. Accents in gold and white pearlescent were added with acrylic ink, to give a subtle shimmer on the cow parsley.
Bockingford 300gsm, artist quality Daniel Smith watercolour paint, Acrylic ink
