Beautiful South (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Kathrin Flöge

Spring the south of France: as there has been plenty of rain this winter, the poppies are blooming particularly profusely. Somewhere between the vineyards, you can usually see the blue sea. The clouds carried by the Tramuntana wind stand in the sky as if carved in stone and seem to interact with the clear outlines of the cypress trees and houses.
I tried to make an emblematic picture from the "Beautiful South", inspirated by my new home at the Côte Vermeille.

The edges are painted, so the painting can be hung without additional framing.
