Bathing at Finca Del Alamo (2024) Original Oil Painting by Clara Wilkinson

An oil on canvas abstract expressionist painting inspired by the light and warmth of a trip to southern Andalucia. I wanted to remember the atmosphere of the Spanish stone, the sea, the pinks and greens of the garden with it's natural water bathing pool and the warm evening light.
This piece was painted in my studio in Brighton and is part of pair (both available as separate pieces or together as shown).
I used a deep stretched canvas, gestural brush marks and fluid random marks with the oil paint. I also used lots of linseed oil to create texture and gloss.
This painting has a white wooden tray frame and is ready to hang. All of my paintings are meticulously wrapped before promptly shipping to you.
