Hoegy was a much-loved Basset Hound who lived in the United States and is fondly remembered by his family. Their photos beautifully captured his soulful expression and those signature long ears—features I worked carefully to reflect in the clay sculpture.

The original commission, cast in Foundry Bronze, included a charming tag that read: "I'm Hoegy—I'm quite slow, so my owner is likely ahead." That simple line perfectly captured his gentle nature and the unhurried walks he enjoyed with his devoted family.

This bronze bust bears Tanya’s signature and a unique edition number. Each casting of the Basset Hound Portrait Head sculpture is personally approved and comes with a certificate of authenticity and a complimentary cleaning kit.
