"Banana Drape" - banana leaves painting - tropical boho artwork

20x23 cm landscape format.

I loved drawing in rich velvety carbon pencil to sketch in the gorgeously structural banana leaves with their heavy folds and heavy drape-like quality.

Then I used hot magenta watercolour to swathe in veils of rich cerise and paler pink for contrats. Then a little doodling to create a gathering of festive circular shapes called out to be done.

This groovy and unique banana leaf painting would grace the bohemian's home.

It is painted on hand made Khadi paper - made by a Nepalese collective using time honoured skills.

I will place your original between recycled sturdy card for safety in transit.
