"Banana Bayou" - banana leaves painting - original tropical painting

20x23 cm landscape format.

I loved trailing in rich carbon pencil the shapes of these banana leaves with their folds and creases.

I had fun introducing cool washes of teal and cobalt turquoise to express my love of these dramatic shapes.

This groovy and unique banana leaf painting would grace the bohemian's home.

It is painted on hand made Khadi paper - made by a Nepalese collective using time honoured skills. This paper is 140lbs and has a roughish surface which gives an authentic wabi sabi feel and look.

For the person who relishes the feel of a real thing made by a human this is for you.

I will place your original between recycled sturdy card for safety in transit.
