Original artwork description:

What does rest mean to you? Contemplating rest, I realised that it means bright, bold colours which energise and soothe me, nature scenes and daily, weekly rhythms of everyday rest. This is a scene of Spring time shapes popping out in my garden, including the first signs of the baby cherry tree. Mellow yellow, spring green leaves meet bright apricot peach trunks, and the first signs of baby cherry blossom about to flourish. The mark making is expressive and gestural.

Materials used:

acrylic on canvas
