Original artwork description
Painted plein air style, on-site at the Bailey Shrub Walk of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Features a view of the garden in full spring bloom. The left side of the canvas features azalea bushes with flowers in bright orange, deep orange, yellow, lavender and pink. Above and to the right, the canvas is spanned by a spectrum of lilac blossoms in deep purple, light purple, rosy purple and white. A path through the garden and green trees and shrubs complete the scene. Painted in Oil over Casein on Canvas with both palette knife and brush. The texture of the blossoms is enhanced with thickly applied oil paint.
This canvas is stretched and finished with painted sides. It is ready to hang as it is, or it may be framed if desired.
