Autumn Tree in the Park Original Acrylic Painting by Michele Wallington

Autumn is my favourite time of year and I have painted the warm colours of Autumn trees many times, using different mediums and styles from semi-abstract to realism. This is a favourite beautifully coloured tree in a park local to me and the style I have painted it in I would say is slightly impressionistic, with lots of broken texture to the foliage with deep reds and orange colours and dark backlit trunk and branches.

Painted using acrylic, oil paint and texture medium on a Loxley Ashgate canvas, I have painted with several layers of glazes to add depth and texture. The sides are painted in a dark maroon/blue colour to match the painting and is ready to hang, no need for a frame. This painting will add a colourful and beautiful statement to any room!
