Original artwork description
Painted on-site at Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Features a row of shrubs in a spectrum of autumn colors. At the left, the leaves range from light yellow to orange, in the center, the leaves range from golden orange to deep orange, and on the right, the leaves range from orange-red to deep-red with blue highlights. Branches that have caught the light shoot through the foliage as steaks of bright blue-white, while darker trunks rest in shadow. The foliage is contrasted by a bright cerulean blue sky, and soft green and gold grasses. Painted in oil with florescent oil on board, using both brush and palette knife. The foliage is painted with a thick, impasto texture.
Framed in a 4" wide wood frame with a black crackle finish and an antique gold inner and outer edge. May be purchased unframed by request.
