"Although it may not seem so at first glance, through this painting I wanted to symbolically point out the role of parents and grandparents in our lives.

Nails are traditional symbols of construction, strength, and connection. The fact that they are rusty and discarded in a pile represents the 'autumn of life'—a phase when a person or an object has fulfilled its primary function and is pushed aside a little.
However, the rust in this painting is not depicted as a destructive flaw, but as an aesthetic element. It symbolizes layers of experience, the patina of time, trials, wisdom, and the resilience gained through aging.

Often, it is our parents and grandparents who, much like these nails, connect and hold the family together. Yet, just like the sharp tips of nails, their advice and well-meaning comments can sometimes sting or pierce our hearts, temporarily creating chaos in our attitudes and emotions.

Ultimately, however—just like the nails in this painting—their presence brings us deep harmony and peace, beautifully evoked by the warm, soothing autumn tones of the artwork.
