I created this small work as an exploration of texture and the immediacy of the painterly gesture. I was drawn to the materiality of the paint itself—the dense, almost sculptural brushstrokes that give the forms a physical presence. This is an autumn landscape, but it emerges through color and movement rather than detailed depiction. In this intimate scale, it was important for me to preserve a sense of spontaneity and vitality—as if it were a fragment of an impression captured in motion.
