Autumn Gold is an original acrylic painting on canvas by Suzanne Vaughan. An abstract expressionist style tonal painting with textural transitions of blue and shades of yellow, gold and ochre to suggest a golden field in front of a blue sky. Layers of paint are applied to the canvas in free gestural marks with palette knives and other tools. With multiple applications each layer interacts with the previous building a complex texture suggestive of natural organic element

Painted on a piece of canvas with an extra 4 inches around the 40” x 40” painting which allows for many framing options such as a floater frame or stretching onto a gallery wrap frame.
