A vibrant collection of colours with lots of pinks terracottas reds and all set off with a backdrop of a creamy white.
The splendid autumnal colours right now inspired this still life. The little fellow in the middle (Herbert), has lived in my studio for many years and always amuses me. There is no designated Herbert ‘place’, so it almost seems that he just turns up here and there when I least expect it. This time he was lurking behind a small pile of canvas panels. I thought that his spirit of adventure suited him to exploring the fruitfulness on the tabletop. So in a way, this painting is actually about Herbert..

The painting is shipped wrapped in several protective layers before being placed in a sturdy cardboard box.
I always send my paintings by tracked courier for extra security.
