Original artwork description:

This work is a captivating triptych that evokes the timeless rhythm of creation and renewal. Each panel flows with atmospheric layers of translucent whites, moody earth tones, and deep verdant greens, creating a visual symphony that shifts with light and perspective. Soft yet powerful, this abstract composition invites contemplation, suggesting clouds in motion, divine breath, or dreamlike landscapes just out of reach.

The techniques used to create this unique and high impact work were manifold, including loose brushwork, sprinkled charcoal pigment, fluid mineral essence and blended fine brushwork as well as palette knife application.  The multi-faceted approach is part of her signature approach to creating art.

Julia has ranked among the top 10 grossing artists on Artfinder, since she joined in 2019. This was a remarkable achievement that set the tone for her continued success. In 2024, she was honoured with a Best Seller Award. Artfinder have also promoted her as 'one to watch'.

Julia’s work is instantly recognisable for its expressive energy and the captivating tension between stillness and movement. Her bold, intuitive approach draws inspiration from the great abstract movements of the 20th century, with clear nods to the poetic dynamism of Zao Wou-Ki and the luminous intensity of Turner’s late works. Trained in part under the influence of the Académie des Beaux-Arts tradition, Julia bridges classical depth with modern spontaneity. Every piece Julia creates is entirely one-of-a-kind — a reflection of her deeply instinctive process and commitment to authenticity. This singular vision has earned her prestigious recognition, including a place in the Rye Summer Exhibition, and features in high-profile publications such as Tatler and her work was seen on the award winning house in Sussex, in the TV series Grand Designs.
