My work explores the silent strength and unspoken narratives that live within children and communities often overlooked. In this painting, the child is rendered in bold monochrome blue — a color I use to convey depth, resilience, and the emotional weight carried beneath the surface. The intensity of the gaze challenges the viewer to acknowledge a reality shaped by both vulnerability and endurance.
The warm orange headwrap and yellow garment stand in striking contrast to the pink background, symbolizing hope, vibrancy, and the persistence of life even amid struggle. Through this interplay of color and form, I seek to create a dialogue about identity, dignity, and the complexities of the human condition.
