I spent a few days in New York in February and am always on the lookout for people to paint.
August is an actor and model. I came across him working in designer store Coach, one of the many units within the Hudson Yards Mall. I thought his hair looked incredible so asked if I could snap him with my phone for a reference image to use for a portrait.
I didn't want to paint him surrounded by expensive handbags, so chose this graphic Coach logo for a background with colours that compliment his skin and wonderful hair.
Deep edge canvas, edges painted black.
Signed front and reverse.
