Original artwork description
'At The Threshold' is a series of mixed media paintings on 400g Fabriano paper that explores states of transition, tension, and becoming. The works exist in an in-between space—where structure meets disruption, order collides with instinct, and movement is suspended just before transformation. Rather than depicting a specific place, At The Threshold maps psychological and emotional crossings: moments of decision, vulnerability, resistance, and anticipation. Each painting captures the instability of standing on the edge—where movement is possible, but not yet taken.
Through the interplay of geometric forms and textured surfaces, I seek to construct spaces that hover between precision and intuition, order and emptiness. Each composition invites viewers to move beyond the visible, to engage with the rhythm of form and material, and to sense the tension between what is defined and what dissolves.
As an abstract artist, I use perspective and geometry to deconstruct the world and rebuild it into a personal visual language. My paintings aim not to describe but to suggest — to open a space where imagination takes shape, and the horizon becomes a metaphor for perception itself.
To preserve the artwork’s tactile depth, each piece is sealed with a transparent semi-gloss varnish that protects the surface while enhancing the richness of its layered textures. The work is titled and signed on the back.
The colours sometimes vary on the computer monitors and may differ from the original version.
