A painting inspired by a story of art, female struggle, and passion through the figure of the extraordinary and courageous painter Artemisia Gentileschi (1600). Her imaginary portrait, on the left of the work, is interpreted as an image that emerges, illuminating the symbolic darkness of dominant values and highlighting the melancholic, violent, and exuberant moods that marked her life. She was also a lute player and had relationships with the important composer Claudio Monteverdi, whose imaginary portrait is depicted next to her. This work, in a combination of tempera, acrylic, and enamel, exudes a visceral passion. I immersed myself in Art Nouveau, expressionism, figurative art, and realism, conveying emotions that dance between light and shadow. It is a celebration of life, an emotional journey through time.
