Picture worked from free improvisation. Action painting with music by Loren Connors
Work created over months, at different time intervals. I work with multiple layers that overlap until finally the last layer is dominated by a pigmented vermilion red, which covers most of the surface, revealing details and fragments of the previous layers as chipped remnants on a wall.
On the surface of the work, different textures and reliefs can be seen that appear as scars from the creative process.
