An abandoned house no longer separates the interior from the outside world. Branches rise above the roofless walls, and daylight passes freely through the empty window. Yet the window itself remains, preserving the outline of a place that once belonged to someone.

This is the first painting in my new series, “Someone’s Windows”, devoted to the windows of old abandoned and inhabited houses. For me, a window is more than an architectural detail. It is a sign of human presence—a quiet boundary between a private life and the world beyond.

Painted in deep brown and violet tones, the work combines fluid watercolor washes with expressive lines and the untouched white of the paper.
