Inspired by the beautiful horse paintings of painter Franz Marc.
Having a sense of foreboding; I painted this a year or two before the pandemic. The news was all about the political tensions between the U.S. and Korea.
My horse painting symbolises my fears for another world war. The red horse is the future & is looking back to the past depicted as a skeletal horse of death. The yellow and lilac horses are the present; the US and Korean presidents rushing past & missing the warning.
This acrylic painting has a coat of varnish added to enhance the colours.
This painting will be shipped on the stretcher securely in a reinforced envelope of polycarbonate sheeting. Please message me to arrange shipping off of the stretcher in a tube ready for framing. All shipping prices are estimated but rest assured that any overpayment charged will be refunded back to the customer once the painting has been shipped.
