Another Random Image (2021) Original Oil Painting by Simon Blackley

This is the first of a new collection titled Another Random Image stages a new view point of how we view social media. The topic isn’t focusing on the problems or the benefits associated with social media it merely looks in at the random content we view daily. The work brings together images that randomly appear on media platforms that I find myself absorbing un knowingly. I see it as constant content bank and it’s what I do to the image which is the art.
