Painted outside in 0'C. Because it was so cold, the piece didn’t dry for over a week and the snow and rain effected it - “I like that, that I make a painting, and then the weather finishes it.” This ongoing practice is focused on being in intense physical situations, as a way to engage with unconscious compositional processes and to remain more present throughout. The title is a line from the emotional state on that day, as referenced by the diary. This was the first piece working at the outdoor studio, and was a way to revist some messy techniques that hadn’t used for some years.
