An appointment in Marrakesh (2026) Original Oil Painting by Johnny Popkess

A couple stand in the middle of Marrakesh, the souks, kasbah and crenelated walls surround them. The exotic sights, sounds and smells are food for the curious travellers. The scene before us is, as with all my work, viewed through the lens of a more nostalgic time, before smartphones and social media. Part of the ‘Nomadic’ Collection. This original work is painted on a medium textured, professionally stretched canvas, using Old Holland & Michael Harding artist quality oils and mediums and finished with a light satin varnish. The painting arrives carefully packaged with a signed certificate of authenticity.
