I remember well when the first painting in this little series was created. Very spontaneously, I didn't have a plan, I simply grabbed the paint bottles and started.
And I was delighted with the result – clear, structured, powerful, dynamic. I love the rich texture of the paint, the powerful brushstrokes, the "stacked" colors. So of course I started another one, trying to repeat this in another format - a square in this case.
The stacked effect was also what inspired me to create this title: It reminded me of ice cream balls in a waffle cone. And in a figurative sense, I see it as the joy of life, the enjoyment of good things. Be it ice cream, a glass of good wine, an evening with friends. That's what life is all about.
With it's story and what it represents this contemporary abstract will be a great conversation starter! I think it's a perfect match for modern as well as classic interiors.
