I love painting the ocean views, and I take many trips to the Northern California coast every year to paint small studies on location, which then become my reference material for larger studio paintings.
With this painting, I encourage you to travel along the California coast, and take in the views of fog-shrouded cliffs, austere, windswept cypress trees, the crashing surf of the Pacific Ocean and sparkles on the incoming tide.

Materials: oil on stretched oil-primed Centurion DLX linen. Protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. Wired in the back and ready to hang.

Materials used:

oil paint, stretched linen canvas, varnish
