Original artwork description
This is a semi abstract painting inspired by the Western Highlands of Scotland. Tidal lochs, boggy ground, vast swathes of open lowlands, mountains and gnarled trees. Reflections and patches of light occupy the foreground as the sun pokes through the cloud catching the water.
The painting is supplied in a white wooden float frame. The paint is thickly layered and there are some collage elements. The result is a textured artwork with much interest and many colours. It would work in most colour schemes having a broad mix of colours within in.
