This painting was inspired by some pink poppies that I have grown from seed in my gardens for over 30 years. The original poppy seeds came from one of my Mother’s poppies, and they always remind me of our love for each other.
The purple buddleia was a plant that grew in the garden at a cottage my husband and I used to live at. A reminder of hot summer days relaxing in the sun.
