ALL AT SEA

The painting was worked on during the Covid-19 pandemic. I live by the sea, and have strong relationship with the colours and light of the coast, and this will often influence my work. The underlying subliminal message of the painting focuses on the worldwide difficulties facing us all at these unprecedented times.

Unique original oil painting on stretched canvas measuring 100 cm x 100 cm x 5 cm.

The theory of colours fascinates me and engulfs my work. Simultaneous contrasts help each colour sing. I make no excuse for over-painting some areas several times, its a necessity to create a unifying whole. A painting full of positive energy and happiness. The painting has an interesting light textured finish, created by hand blended pigments and under-markings.

About my work.

I use a professional quality Stretched Block Canvases ,380 gsm , 100% cotton. Primed with a low-absorbency universal primer. The stretcher frame is made from high quality wood from Sustainable Forests and the profile is in one single piece.
The canvas can easily be hung without further framing due to the stability of the thick stretchers. which have a cross support bar for increased strength.

You can be confident that you will receive a quality artwork, painted by me, and finished with two coats of varnish for protection. I'll pack your painting with care to ensure it arrives safely.
