Aldeburgh Wave is a spectacular new painting by the realist seascape painter Christopher Witchall. This large oil painting on canvas measures 36 x 48 inches (91.4 x 121.9cm).

Inspired by summer visits to the English east coast town of Aldeburgh, Christopher Witchall continues his preoccupation with the movement and colours of the ocean, a movement frozen in time between the ancient past and an endless future.

The artist’s unsentimental approach to his subjects combine two great passions - a love of traditional painting techniques and a fascination with the photographic image. The result of this are paintings that are both painterly and highly realistic.

Aldeburgh Wave is painted on a deep edge stretched canvas, so there is no need for framing and can be hung immediately. It is signed on the back and supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Materials used:

Oil painting on deep edge canvas. No need for framing.
