The perfect balance between mass and lightness.
When the raw power of the rhinoceros meets the ethereal lightness of metallic lace.
I captured the essence of a giant of nature through a fusion technique, combining steel and bronze.
This sculpture is made using a drop-by-drop fusion technique. By melting the steel and bronze piece by piece, I create a metallic lace that lets light through, making the animal both massive and transparent.
The balance of forms: Despite its fragmented and ‘airy’ appearance, the sculpture retains an imposing physical presence, faithful to the emblematic silhouette of the pachyderm.
The contrast of materials: Steel provides structure and strength, while the coppery reflections of bronze emphasise the relief and texture of the rhino's skin.
This is a unique, signed piece, accompanied by its certificate of authenticity.
Steel base 10 cm in diameter.

Materials used:

Steel and bronze
