Agaves stand along the sea like surreal creatures, forming a natural fence. I saw them on the French Riviera, in a small coastal town. They have appeared several times as subjects in my landscapes. A lighthouse in the distance, the sea with a gentle ripple, and a restless, dramatic sky.
The work is decorative and rich in color. It is painted on a large, solid stretcher with 4.5 cm deep edges. The edge is painted in a dark green color that harmonizes with the painting.
The landscape conveys the atmosphere of walks along the Côte d’Azur.
