INSPIRATION

The painting was created in February—the month of love—and was inspired by the bright red tulips that bloomed early in a pot in my home. I wanted to capture the feeling of love through the image of these vivid red flowers, but as I was painting them, I listened to the gentle sound of rain.

Under the influence of that emotion, I recreated delicate drops of dew resting on the hazy, fading image of the flowers, which appear to dissolve in certain areas. At the same time, I used different techniques and materials, combining paints and epoxy resin to create depth, a three-dimensional effect, and contrast between the blurred image flowing into the background—as if seen through glass—and the delicate drops of dew on its surface.

Materials used:

Professional acrylic, oil paints, glitters, spray paint, art resin on stretched canvas
