'Affirmation', is a red abstract painting inspired by Joyce's love of colour and texture and is reminiscent of the works of the late Canadian artist Jean Albert McEwen. Its warm colour draws the viewer in.

This work is overall a carmine red (dark muted pink/ coral /red) and includes black, gold, yellow ochre, earth tones, and bits of red oxide (muted orange). The work is highly textured and multi-layered with much of it painted using a palette knife.

The painting is ready to hang with wire attached. The gallery-style canvas has sides painted in dark brown/black to complete the look.

This painting has been created using professional acrylic paint. A thin layer of Liquitex Professional Satin Varnish has been applied for protection

The painting is signed on the front and back and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
