Original artwork description
Across the yellow fields
Evocative sky,
Early Summer,
Ethereal and moody backdrop,
Mystical feelings,
Yellow rapeseed.
Words and expression of a walk I did with my new adopted doggy called Buster Mac. I had to walk quite a way to get to this area of the woodland. A lot has happened in the past here. It’s the largest woodland in Wiltshire and it’s not far from where I live in North Dorset. I was lucky to discover the perfect scene for a wet on wet watercolour and I was drawn in by the contrast of the dark muted wood in the background against the bright yellow field.
Original impressionist watercolour painting on extra rough textured watercolour paper 425 gsm 200 lb. I used a wet on wet technique with three colours. I created this watercolour for a step by step guide as one of my art demonstrations on my YouTube channel.
Materials used:
Extra rough textured watercolour paper 425 gsm 200 lb bockingford, sable hair brush, bushy hogs hair brush, Japanese mop squirrel hair brush, pebeo watercolours,
