This is an original ‘triptych’ oil painting, framed in black hardwood and ready to hang.
It shows at top, looking up the mast of the Dunbrody, a replica Irish famine ship, moored at New Ross, co Wexford.
It serves as a museum to those awful times of the potato famine, and explores life on board for those who were able to undergo the journey to the new world in the USA.
In the middle, it shows a view along the deck, and below it comes the reflection of the main mast and sails in the sea water.
I painted this after my last visit to Wexford and New Ross.
Sizes framed: top 9” wide x 21” high
Middle: 15” wide x 11” high
Bottom: 9” wide x 21” high
Professional quality oil paints and varnishes and passion
