This panoramic landscape captures the moody atmospheric feel of a rainy dawn across the Scottish Highlands, viewed from the clifftops of the Isle of Skye. The sky was low and full of feeling—layered with cloud and soft Highland mist. I created this piece to hold that hush of early morning, when the day has not yet decided what it will become.
The colours are deep and reflective—moody blues, violet, mauve, and earthy browns—echoing the stillness of the hills and the cool light touching the water.
Printed at 60 x 30 inches on fine art canvas, this work brings a sense of atmosphere and solitude into any space. Signed and part of a small, thoughtful edition.
