Artwork description
'A Wise Woman Once Said...' reflects serenity and wisdom, something people of our world need more of in today's turmoil.
A beautiful piece that invites touch she has a traditional brown patina and a hint of green on the dress. She can be displayed in a variety of angles (front, side, or back). Classically trained as a figurative painter, I was inspired to create this piece directly from the model with full completion later in the studio.
'A Wise Woman Once Said...' was exhibited at WOMAN'S ESSENCE MUSA international Art Space exhibition in Collaboration with UNESCO in Rome, September 2020. This sculpture along with two others was featured in the American Art Collector Magazine December 2019 editorial 'Destination Canada'
This piece is the first in the edition of only ten (1/10) signed, numbered, and stamped on the back right. She may be affixed to a base if desired, however, I prefer her to stand alone as shown.
