I was inspired to paint this scene after doing a plein air study. It was a beautiful sunny day at Tower Grove Park in St Louis, MO. I love how the sun lights up tree leaves against the cooler areas of shadow. I didn't put the figures in in the study but decided they needed to be in this larger work. This oil painting is unframed but fits any standard 16" x 20" frame and can be framed yourself easily by looking up a DYI on YouTube.
