Original artwork description
This is one of three paintings inspired by my local landscape, a pretty area of tall Scot's Pine trees. The snow lingered for several days so I was able to capture it before it melted. My brushwork is very loose and I have kept the palette soft and muted. The painting is on card which I have recently started to like working on as the paint moves around easily and the finished work can be cut to any size. I have framed this painting in a good quality wood frame with a matt silver finish which suits the cool feel of the artwork.
