The painting “A Piece of Paris” is not just a cityscape. It is my quiet conversation with Paris, a city that once entered my life and has remained there ever since.
I painted it early in the morning, when the light is still soft, almost shy. The sun is only beginning to touch the rooftops, and the tiles start to warm under golden reflections. A narrow street stretches into the distance, as if inviting you to walk without purpose — simply to listen to your footsteps on the cobblestones. I intentionally left the space slightly open: there is breath in this air, anticipation, the quiet sense of an approaching encounter.
For me, “A Piece of Paris” is not about famous landmarks or postcard views. It is about a feeling. Though somewhere in the distance, you can make out the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower — not as the main subject, but as a gentle reminder: you are truly here. Yet the true center of the painting is not the tower, but the light.
