The first painting in a New Collection SEASCAPES AND SUNSETS
A PERFECT DAY
I'm so lucky to live by the coast. Just a short walk, past the gorgeous green downs and I'm on the beach. You can imagine, it's endless in inspiration. As I walked along the seafront watching the setting sun, I was struck by how nature has a way of combining complimentary colours, the blues of the sea and sky and the orange and amber glow of the sun and sand.
The Painting
I mixed my colours from memory, aiming for a combination that would simply evoke the coast. The random shapes came out of observation on my walk.
I rarely use tape or formers to create my shapes, these are created freehand. A particular type of brush, the consistency of the oil paint, and my trained hand all aid the process.
Authenticity certificate included, and securely wrapped for transit.
