Original artwork description
"A Moment of Rest" is a large abstract painting centered around a quiet figure resting beneath the moonlight. I kept the composition open, letting the figure sit within space rather than be surrounded by movement. The shapes lean into each other softly, holding a sense of stillness without losing tension. Deep blues, earthy greens, warm ochres, and that hit of deep orange all came together in a way that feels both expressive and calm. The brushwork is loose but intentional, with layers building up the surface and giving it depth. This abstract artwork will make a statement in any space.
This piece continues my exploration of abstract figures and the space between them, where structure and freedom meet. Please check my "Forma Collection" for similar works.
Medium: Acrylic paint on gallery grade Italian cotton canvas.
