Original artwork description
This landscape was inspired by the dramatic scenery of Cumbria and Yorkshire.
Using watercolours, I have allowed the paints to run and bleed into each-other to evoke the textures of the hills and fields. The hedge at the bottom of the painting was made by painting through a piece of lace fabric which was then removed when the paint was dry, leaving the impression of the material.
