This acrylic painting of cradled panel was inspired by a small portion of one of Monet's waterlily paintings (at the MOMA in NYC). Deep ultramarine blues give way to cobalt and then cerulean, and they move into roses and lighter pinks. Modest waterlilies are dapped in throughout.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, acrylic medium, cradled hardboard surface
